Adopt-A-School: Two dozen hungry kids at East Van elementary school now getting breakfast

Graham Bruce Elementary, a small Vancouver school on the Burnaby border, presents an incontrovertible case for the proposition that there is really no effective safety net to end hunger for impoverished children.
If there were, then Denise Meyer, the school’s office administrator, wouldn’t be seeking help from so many disparate sources to feed and care for 25 or more children.
“It’s heartbreaking seeing them come in hungry and tired. It really is,” says Meyer, who h
