A colourful glimpse at Vancouver in the 1950s and '60s
In 1955 The Vancouver Sun became the first newspaper in Canada to have its own colour photo lab.
“It started off initially because the Sun wanted to attract advertisers to colour, particularly Woodward’s,” said Charlie Warner, 88, who ran the lab and took most of the early colour photos.
