2018 Polaris Prize short list announced

The 2018 Polaris Music Prize short list was revealed Tuesday at a live broadcast from Toronto. The list of the final 10 artists was selected by voting members of the Polaris Music Prize jury, which also nominates artists through the year. The prize honours the best-overall Canadian album of the year. This voting group, comprised of leading music media and industry voices, eventually selects the 40-album long list, which was announced June 14.
