Women hold demonstration on North Bay overpass

There was plenty of horns honking as motorists drove over the West Ferris overpass Friday afternoon.
About 50 men and women held placards and posters depicting slogans in support of women and the women’s movement.
The 7th annual Join Me on the Bridge kicks off International Women’s Week.
Kaarina Tullisalo, co-president of the Canadian Federation of University Women and organizer of the Join Me on the Bridge, said she hopes people will be made aware of the difference women are making.
