Wolf or coyote blamed for deer kill in Laurier Woods
The North Bay Mattawa Conservation Authority isn’t treating a deer kill in Laurier Woods as an unusual or suspicious activity.
Sue Buckle, manager of communications for the conservation authority said the deer was located by a hiker Sunday while enjoying the trails in Laurier Woods.
“There are 240 acres of Crown land that adjoins Laurier Woods. We’ve seen interactions between wildlife in other areas,” she said Tuesday.
