West Nipissing under weather advisory

A winter weather travel advisory is in effect for this morning and early afternoon in West Nipissing and French River.
An intense band of lake-effect snow has developed off Georgian Bay. Snowfall rates of several centimetres per hour are likely under this band. Localized amounts of up to 10 centimetres are possible by this afternoon.
Visibility may drop to near zero under this band for brief periods of time. Travel along Highway 69 will likely be hazardous.
