Water levels drop, Laurier Woods reopens

Laurier Woods Conservation Area has reopened after being closed since last week due to flooding.
Rising water levels prompted the closure of Laurier Woods Nov. 9 by the North Bay-Mattawa Conservation Authority.
It was believed beavers were the cause, blocking a culvert on the ONR line west of Laurier Avenue. Water levels rose along the main trail making boardwalks and pathways unsafe for use.
