Train and propane truck collide in Bonfield

A propane truck and train collided on a portion of track on Sunnyside Road in Bonfield around 3:15 p.m. Monday.
A witness to the collision said the truck was stuck on the track when the incident occurred.
“The truck driver got out of the vehicle and was waving the train down, but there’s a bend just ahead and the train would have had only 300 yards to stop once he saw him.”
“He is very lucky.”
The witness said there are no injuries and there was no propane spillage.
