Toronto's benchmark stock index up moderately, loonie rises

TORONTO — Canada's main stock index shows a moderate gain in morning trade. The S&P/TSX composite index was up 93.74 points at 16,195.83 after 90 minutes of trading on the Toronto Stock Exchange.
