Rainfall warning lifted, flood warning remains in effect
The North Bay area has dodged a flooding bullet.
A heavy rainfall that was expected to cause localized flooding on area waterways was less than the 40 to 50 mm in the forecast.
Instead, according to Environment Canada, the area received just over 30 mm.
It was still enough to raise the water levels in Chippewa Creek, La Vase River and Cook’s Creek and a flood warning issued Thursday remains in effect.
