Rain warning in effect

A rainfall warning is in effect for North Bay, Powassan and Mattawa.
Rain, heavy at times, will move into central and eastern Ontario overnight and continue into Friday evening. Total rainfall amounts of 25 to 40 millimetres are forecast by late Friday night. Local amounts exceeding 50 mm are possible.
The forecast has prompted the North Bay-Mattawa Conservation Authority to expand its flood warning to include Lake Nipissing and extend it until next Thursday.
