Powassan’s newly renovated pool makes a big splash

It was a perfect day to officially open the Powassan Lions Pool. Many community members gathered under blue skies at 341 Edward Street North in Powassan to witness the newly renovated swimming pool. There were about 30 kids in the pool, having the time of their lives. The pool’s floor has been fixed and re-lined, and the deck as well, thanks to a grant from the provincial government’s Ontario Trillium Foundation, which provided $170,500 for the project.
