OPP charge 74 motorists over six days with distracted driving
In six days 74 motorists were charged with distracted driving by the Ontario Provincial Police North East Region.
The OPP’s Distracted Driving Campaign took place over a six-day period from March 11 to 17.
Police charged one motorist for a display screen visible to driver, 71 charges were issued for driving with a hand-held communication device and two charges for careless driving related to distracted driving.
