North Bay sizzles through Canada Day celebrations - PHOTO GALLERY

Canada turned up the heat on its 159th birthday celebrations Wednesday.Sweltering heat had North Bay residents seeking shade from trees at the North Bay Waterfront to the cool waters of Lake Nipissing and Trout Lake.There was plenty on the agenda from the North Bay Farmers’ Market, to children’s activities at the waterfront, live music, cupcakes and a fireworks display later tonight.
