North Bay selected for Avro Arrow dream

Stephen James’ dream is to have a legendary piece of Canadian aviation history take to the air over North Bay.
“This is something I’ve wanted to do since I was a kid,” James, of Port Bolster, Ont., said Thursday of his hopes that Avro Arrow 206 will finally take wing sometime in the next decade.
North Bay’s 10,000-foot runway, James says, would be the perfect venue for it, with the Canadore College Aviation Campus and Jack Garland Airport part of the mix.
