North Bay parks crew help rescue woman from fire

North Bay Fire crews suspect careless smoking may have caused a structure fire at 247 Kingsway Avenue this morning around 9 a.m.
A crew from North Bay’s parks department was on scene and had removed the occupant from the home and brought her to a safe location.
Deputy Fire Chief Greg Saunders said the crew was in the area and alerted the fire department of the incident.
He said when fire crews arrived on scene, the homeowner was being taken care of by the city workers.
