North Bay health unit issues warning after 16 overdoses, two deaths within 13 days

Another “Important Community Warning” has been issued as the number of overdoses continue to rise in the Nipissing District.The North Bay Parry Sound District Health Unit stated between Sept. 13 and Sept. 26, there were 16 overdoses reported in Nipissing and Parry Sound that involved unknown opioids, fentanyl and crack cocaine combined with unknown substances.Of those 16 overdoses two resulted in death.The health unit issued a community drug alert Tuesday in response to these events
