Nipissing sees huge increase in applications

Nipissing University is leaving most other universities across the province in the dust, with a 26.8 per cent increase in applications for this coming September.
The provincial average is 4.9 per cent, according to Nipissing President Michael DeGagne.
“Our team is thrilled,” DeGagne said Wednesday. “This energizes everyone. It is very motivating.”
Of that increase, 20 per cent picked Nipissing as their first choice, while 30 per cent had Nipissing as their second choice.
