MNRF and Nipissing First Nation extend fisheries agreement

The walleye fishery in Lake Nipissing is showing improvement, according to the Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry.
MNRF Spokeswoman Jolanta Kowalski said fishery surveys indicate that the regulation changes are protecting a significant number of juvenile walleye from being harvested.
The Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry and Nipissing First Nation have signed a three year agreement to continue to support walleye recovery population in Lake Nipissing.
