Memorial Gardens reopening Saturday

Memorial Gardens will reopen to the public Saturday.
In a news release Friday, John Severino, an engineer with the city’s infrastructure and operations, said a structural engineer has inspected the facility and found no evidence of structural distress, concluding the facility is safe for public use.
The city closed the facility Thursday after some drywall cracking was observed in the bulkheads constructed slightly below the underside of the roof.
