Jury recommends defibrillators in police cruisers
A jury has recommended that the Ontario Association of Chiefs of Police and the province examine the feasibility of equipping all police vehicles with portable defibrillators.
The recommendation came at the end of a two-day inquest into the Dec. 15, 2016 death of John Roberts, 49, of Sault Ste. Marie.
Roberts had been arrested following an impaired driving complaint on Highway 17 near Bonfield shortly before 3 p.m. He was pronounced dead at the North Bay Regional Health Centre at 4:15 p.m. that
