'High on this thing called life'

His life reads like a traumatic movie.
As a boy, Eric Cashmore was bullied relentlessly by classmates for being gay. He was infected with HIV after being sexually assaulted in 2007. He has done porn. While he was living on the streets of Toronto, he turned tricks so he would have someplace to stay at night. With the money he earned, he often bought drugs – alcohol, crystal meth and GHB were his poisons of choice.
In September, after relapsing, he was so ashamed that Cashmore attempted suic
