Health unit warns against provincial restructuring

Bringing an end to “hallway medicine” will not be achieved without addressing the reasons people get sick in the first place, according to the medical officer of health with the North Bay Parry Sound District Health Unit.
Dr. Jim Chirico said Tuesday that investments in preventative public health programs and services, as well as working with community partners to address local health care needs, are essential to healthy communities.
