Fraudster falls short

A person who attempted to buy a set of speakers being sold on Kijiji will not be getting those speakers, or the $1,500 he attempted to defraud a person of.
Ontario Provincial Police in Mattawa are investigating the incident reported Friday.
Police said the person attempting the make the purchase sent the seller a cheque via UPS. The complainant questioned the amount and was advised to cash the cheque and the buyer would send his daughter to pick up the extra money and the speakers.
