Emergency scam directed at North Bay residents

North Bay police are reporting two incidents of an emergency scam directed at residents of the city.
In the two cases, intended victims were contacted by telephone.
In the first incident, the intended victim received a call from a person claiming to be their child who was impaired and needed bail money.
In the other incident, the caller reported a child was in an automobile accident, had a broken nose and medical funds were needed.
