Dire affordable housing situation expected to get worse

The situation is dire for affordable housing in North Bay, says Coun. Mark King.
“The crisis centre has been at capacity for three to four months straight,” said King, chairman of the District of Nipissing Social Services Administration Board. “And all overflows are being sent to hotels. There’s just so many people.”
It’s not known how much money the Crisis Centre of North Bay is spending to put people up in hotels while they wait for permanent housing.
