Carbon monoxide scam hits North Bay

Heads up homeowners there’s a new scam around town.
The North Bay Fire and Emergency Services is warning the public about a telephone scam where the caller tries to scare homeowners into getting their smoke or carbon monoxide alarm tested.
But of course it comes at a cost.The caller tries to scare homeowners by informing them they will be in serious trouble if they don’t follow through with the alarm check.
