Camper faces $3,500 in fines for public land violations

A Southern Ontario man has been fined $3,500 for camping and public land violations, according to the Ministry of Natural Resources.The Ontario Court of Justice heard that on Nov. 4, 2024, conservation officers located a camping trailer, pickup truck and flat bed trailer parked in the McConnell Lakes Management area of Lasalle Township, where camping is prohibited.On the same date, a second pickup truck was located with a shipping container and mini excavator in McAuslan Township.An investigati
