Businessman's election spending report overdue

North Bay businessman John Cutsey failed to file a third-party financial statement for the 2018 municipal election, The Nugget has learned.
According to Section 88.29(1) of the Municipal Elections Act, financial statements were to be filed on or before 2 pm Friday.
“If a third party fails to file their financial statements, they are not entitled to register as a third party in relation to a subsequent election in the municipality until after the next regular election has taken place.&rdquo
