Budget increase standing at 6.39 per cent
North Bay council has trimmed the 2019 municipal budget a bit more, getting it down to under a seven per cent tax levy increase, according to the city’s budget chief.
Deputy mayor Tanya Vrebosch said Tuesday the latest figure is 6.39 per cent, but “I figure it will get a bit lower” when when all the figures from agencies, boards and commissions are included.
Council is expected to vote on the budget at its March 12 meeting.
