Asbestos scare at Chippewa

Parents whose children attend Chippewa Secondary School were informed about 30 minutes ago that asbestos was exposed in the pipes in the gym.
Parents were notified today by email and synervoice.
“I am writing to advise you of a disturbance of asbestos in the Chippewa gymnasium. It was recently identified that an encapsulated area of asbestos-containing material was disturbed around the elbow of a pipe in the high ceiling of the gymnasium,” the email stated.
