Waitlist for N.B. nursing homes tops 1,000 — and more than 500 wait in hospital

The waitlist from the Department of Social Development, which was updated June 30, shows 1,044 people are waiting for a nursing home bed, including 513 who are waiting in hospitals despite being medically able to leave.
