Where do old boats on B.C.’s coast go to die?

People driving along the Old Island Highway through Fanny Bay have probably noticed a ferry idly listing a short distance from the shore.
The ferry, the MV Rhododendron, was built in 1947 in Chesapeake Bay, USA, before moving to Washington State in 1951, shuttling passengers in Puget Sound until its retirement in 2012.
The ferry was then auctioned off to Qualicum Beach business Island Scallops in 2013 and brought to where it is moored today in Fanny Bay.
