We must be careful what we ask for
Nobody wants to see more pollution released into Nanaimo’s skies.
I get why most of council wants to introduce site-specific zoning for the city’s industrial lands so that applications for such effluent-belching structures, like waste-energy incinerators, petroleum refineries and LNG-export facilities, would have to go before staff and council for approval.
