Vancouver Island quartet heads to Texas chasing pickleball glory

There may already be a Victoria in Texas, but a Victoria, B.C.-based pickleball team is hoping to return from their trip south of the border with a little extra hardware.
The Banditos, a four-person pickleball team consisting of Emma Knapp (Victoria), Daren McLean (Sooke), Danielle Wickens (Metchosin) and Jakob Larsen (Victoria) are headed to Texas for the 2025 Minor League Pickleball (MLP) National Championships, running Dec. 3 to 7 at Pickler Universe.
