UPDATE: Wildfire near Westside Road grows to 200 hectares, evacuation alerts expanded

The Bradley Creek wildfire burning north of Westside Road near Vernon has now grown to 200 hectares.The blaze was discovered on Friday, July 31, and has quickly jumped to its current size in less than 24 hours.“Fire growth and size for this incident is predominately attributed to the grassy fuel type which burns fast and makes for a quicker rate of spread,” said BCWS.
