Toad migration well underway in rural Cowichan

Back for another year, the Western Toad community is on the move in rural Cowichan.
The Great Western Toads are actively migrating from the wetlands to their terrestrial habitats. Sahtlam, Glenora, and Cowichan Station are hotspots for the little green amphibians.
Wake Lake has been a prime spot for toads over the years, including this year. While structures are in place to divert them safely, many still attempt to cross the street. Riverbottom Road and Barnjum Road in particular often see high
