Team Nanaimo bound for Medicine Hat for Special Olympics

A contingent of athletes from the Harbour City are headed to Alberta to compete in the Special Olympics.
The games go from Tuesday-Saturday, Aug. 11-15 in Medicine Hat, Alta. and according to Angela Behn, Nanaimo athletics head coach and Team B.C. assistant coach, the team is looking forward to the event. Athletes and coaches are looking for personal bests, having a great time and taking home some hardware, she said.
“We’ve got 12 athletes going for track, 10-pin bowling, softball, s
