Severe lightning storm sparks wildfires in Cowichan

A severe lightning storm Saturday night sparked a number of small wildfires in the Cowichan Valley, several of which are currently listed as out of control by the BC Wildfire Service.
Wildfires near Cowichan River Provincial Park at Summit Mainline, Chemainus Reserve 13, McKay Peak (northwest of Ladysmith) and Elkhorn Creek (northwest of Ladysmith) are listed as out of control.
