Search and rescue call would not have saved B.C. car crash victim: police watchdog

A Blewett man died in a vehicle accident due to “catastrophic and non-survivable” injuries that could not have been prevented if he had been located sooner by Nelson police, according to a new public report.
The 25-year-old victim’s car left Highway 3A near Nelson shortly before midnight on Jan. 19, and he was found dead the next morning.
