RCMP asks public to avoid trails on Mount Tzouhalem, Maple Bay due to ongoing search

The North Cowichan/Duncan RCMP is asking the public to avoid all trails in the Mount Tzouhalem and Maple Bay areas while police conduct an ongoing search for a 36-year-old woman.
Residents first noticed police activity in the area on Wednesday morning, Sept. 9.
The woman search crews are looking for is described as Caucasian, 5 foot 4 inches and approximately 180 pounds, with long brown hair. She was last seen wearing black pants and a black or blue hoodie.
