Nanaimo preparing guide to help seniors during community emergencies

City of Nanaimo is working to help seniors prepare for community-wide emergencies.
The municipality is inviting seniors, caregivers, family members and organizations that support older adults to participate in a survey that will help shape a new Seniors Emergency Preparedness Information Guide.
The guide is being developed to help older adults prepare for emergencies and disasters, such as extreme heat, power outages, wildfire smoke, earthquakes and severe weather.
Community feedback will help e
