Knife threat quickly resolved at Vancouver Island hospital

An incident at Victoria’s Royal Jubilee Hospital involving a patient with a knife was quickly resolved by security staff and the Victoria Police Department (VicPD), with no injuries reported.
Island Health confirmed the incident took place early Thursday morning (Aug. 6), when security staff received a call about a patient threatening staff with a knife.
