With heavy hearts and many fond memories, we say goodbye to John Johnsen, affectionately known as Johnny, who passed away peacefully on September 23, 2026, aged 77. If Johnny were here, he would tell us not to make a fuss, but he gave us too many good stories not to share a few and celebrate the life he lived.
Born in Vancouver, BC, to Oscar and Elizabeth Johnsen, Johnny moved with his family to Nanaimo, BC, where they built strong roots in the neighbourhood of Wellington. He
