After a long, meaningful life, Heinz Bischoff passed away peacefully on Sept. 13, 2026, at age 97. Born in Raddusch and raised in Vetschau, Germany, he was ambitious and hardworking. After working as a journeyman cabinetmaker, he decided to emigrate to Canada in 1951 and landed in Halifax by ship on January 11, 1952.
