Fatal incident at Elkview Operations mine

A 39-year-old resident of Hosmer, B.C., is confirmed dead after an incident at the Elkview Operations mine in Sparwood.
Early Thursday morning, November 20, Elk Valley Regional RCMP were made aware of a mining incident at the Elk View Operations in Sparwood, RCMP said in a release. It was reported that the man had been reported missing on site and that the Elk Valley Resource (EVR) Mine Rescue teams were leading a search of the mine property involved in the incident.
