Donations and volunteers needed for Fresh Start back-to-school charity drive

The 12th annual Fresh Start back-to-school charity drive is in full swing in Nanaimo, and assistance is needed.
Dave Lawrence, the owner of That 50s Barber Shop in downtown Nanaimo, is the organizer of the annual event that provides school kids from lower-income families with a free backpack, school supplies, clothes and even a free haircut in preparation for the upcoming school year.
Approximately 300 students are assisted each year.
