Crackdown set to begin on illegal use of off-road bikes in Nanaimo

Nanaimo RCMP plans a major crackdown on the illegal use of e-bikes, dirt bikes and other off-road cyclist vehicles that have become a problem in the city.
RCMP spokesman R/Const. Gary O’Brien said there has been a substantial increase in youths illegally driving around Nanaimo speeding, doing stunts like wheelies and driving recklessly on the bikes, putting themselves and the public at risk.
