Cowichan transit workers warn another strike possible

Without meaningful collective bargaining, the Cowichan Valley could face another transit strike in as soon as two years, according to a union spokesman.
Doug Drummond, a member of the Unifor union that represents transit workers in the Cowichan region, told the board at the Cowichan Valley Regional District at its meeting on Feb. 25 that the current contract with their employer, Transdev Canada, expires on March 31, 2028.
