Cowichan squad wins Vancouver Island 8-ball title

Team Cowichan captured first-place this year in the Vancouver Island Team Challenge 8-ball Championship held June 6 to 7 in Courtenay.
The victory marked the first time Team Cowichan has taken the top prize in the annual competition.
In total, 10 teams entered from various Island regions from Victoria to Port Alberni, as well as with the addition of a Powell River team.
Teams consisted of three women and 10 men, playing 27 games each in the intense two-day event.
